Trust Signal Insights ("Trust Signal Insights," "we," "us," or "our") operates trustsignalinsights.com and provides the Trust Signal Insights Snapshot, a diagnostic report for local small and medium-sized businesses ("Snapshot"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA").

By using our site or purchasing a Snapshot, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

Your name and email address
A contact phone number (a mobile number may be requested but is optional)
Your business name and website URL
The physical address of each business location covered by your Snapshot (up to five locations under our standard offering)
Any additional information you choose to include when contacting us for support

Information collected automatically:

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we do not track your browsing activity on our site. The only cookies we use are strictly necessary ones needed to operate the site and process payment. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Payment information:

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store your full credit card number, card verification code, or bank account details on our servers. Stripe's collection and use of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

To generate and deliver your Trust Signal Insights Snapshot
To send your Snapshot and related order communications by email, via our email delivery providers (Resend, with Mailgun as a backup delivery service)
To process your payment and issue refunds through Stripe
To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your order
To maintain records required for accounting, tax, and legal compliance
To improve the accuracy and quality of the Snapshot product

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate our business:

Stripe — payment processing
Resend and Mailgun — email delivery of your Snapshot and order communications

These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to deliver your Snapshot, respond to support and refund requests, and comply with our accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Payment records are retained by Stripe in accordance with its own retention practices. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it.

5. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and disclosed
Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions
Right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you
Right to opt out of sale or sharing — not applicable, as we do not sell or share your personal information
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — not applicable, as we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA
Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

Categories of personal information collected: identifiers (name, email address, phone number), commercial information (purchase history), and business contact information (business name, website, business address). We collect this information to fulfill the purposes described in Section 2 above.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@trustsignalinsights.com. We will verify your request using the information associated with your order and respond within 45 days, as required by law. This period may be extended once by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

6. Children's Privacy

Our site and Snapshot are intended for business owners and operators, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
